Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Cornmeal or flour for rolling
Toppings
- ½ cup pizza sauce, divided
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano, divided
Garnish
- Fresh basil leaves
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F to ensure an evenly cooked crispy pizza crust.
- Roll Out Dough. Divide the pizza dough in half. Lightly sprinkle your work surface with cornmeal or flour, then roll each half into circles sized to fit your air fryer basket.
- Prepare First Pizza. Keep one half of the dough covered to prevent drying while you work on the first pizza.
- Grease Basket. Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray to prevent sticking during cooking.
- Par-cook Dough. Place one dough circle into the air fryer basket, lightly spray the top with nonstick spray, and cook for 3 minutes. The dough will look slightly raw but will be partially cooked.
- Add Sauce and Toppings. Remove the basket, spread half of the pizza sauce evenly over the partially cooked dough, then top with half of the mozzarella and half of the dried oregano.
- Finish Cooking Pizza. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the dough is fully cooked and cheese is melted and bubbly. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer.
- Repeat for Second Pizza. Repeat steps 5-7 with the second half of the dough and remaining toppings.
- Garnish and Serve. Once cooked, garnish the pizzas with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese. Slice and serve immediately for best taste and texture.
Notes
- Use cornmeal to prevent sticking and add extra crunch to the crust.
- Cooking times may vary based on your particular air fryer model and size.
- Feel free to customize toppings to your preference, adding veggies, meats, or other cheeses.
- Let the dough rest while you prepare toppings to avoid drying out.
- Spraying both the basket and dough helps achieve a nice crisp surface.
