- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Stir Fry:
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- Cooked white rice for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Sear the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, sear beef until browned but not fully cooked. Set aside.
- Stir Fry: Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger. Add beef, water, stir-fry until cooked through. Season with sesame oil and black pepper.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve over white rice.
