Ingredients
Scale
Dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 2–3 tablespoons whole milk or buttermilk (to thin, as needed)
Instructions
- Mix Base Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add Blue Cheese: Stir in the crumbled blue cheese gently, mashing some of the cheese with the back of a spoon to create a creamier texture while still retaining some chunks.
- Adjust Consistency: Add milk or buttermilk one tablespoon at a time, stirring after each addition until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.
- Season and Chill: Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if needed. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld together before serving.
Notes
- Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream to create a lighter version of the dressing.
- If you prefer a chunkier texture, stir in additional blue cheese at the end without mashing.
- This dressing makes a fantastic dip for wings or fresh vegetables.
