Description

A refreshing and creamy café-style Korean strawberry milk made with fresh strawberries, sugar, whole milk, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk. This delightful drink combines mashed strawberries with a rich milk mixture served over ice, perfect for a sweet and fruity treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Mixture

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Milk Mixture

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons sweetened condensed milk
  • Ice cubes (to fill halfway in glass)

Instructions

  1. Wash Strawberries: Wash the fresh strawberries thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. Prepare Strawberries: Remove the green stems from the strawberries and slice them into small pieces for easier mashing.
  3. Mix Strawberries and Sugar: Place the sliced strawberries in a medium bowl and add 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  4. Mash Strawberries: Gently mash the strawberries and sugar together with a fork or potato masher until you get a chunky puree, leaving some pieces visible for texture.
  5. Set Aside Strawberry Puree: Set the mashed strawberry mixture aside while you prepare the milk base.
  6. Combine Milk and Cream: In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup whole milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream.
  7. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Stir in 2 teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk into the milk and cream mixture until fully dissolved and smooth.
  8. Prepare Glass: Take a tall glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes.
  9. Pour Milk Mixture: Pour the milk and cream mixture over the ice cubes in the glass.
  10. Add Strawberry Puree: Spoon the mashed strawberry mixture on top of the milk mixture in the glass.
  11. Mix Drink: Stir the strawberry puree into the milk mixture until the flavors are well combined and the drink has a uniform pink color.
  12. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the strawberry milk and, if desired, add more sugar or sweetened condensed milk to adjust sweetness.
  13. Serve: Serve the café-style Korean strawberry milk immediately while chilled for the best refreshing flavor.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or sweetened condensed milk according to your preference.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with whole milk or use low-fat milk.
  • This drink is best served immediately to enjoy the fresh strawberry flavor and chilled texture.
  • Optional: Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice on the glass rim for presentation.
