Description

This Easy Candy Corn Jello Shots recipe transforms festive candy corn colors into boozy layered gelatin treats perfect for parties and Halloween celebrations. Made with Pinnacle Whipped Vodka, gelatin, and sweetened condensed milk, these bite-sized jello shots stack vibrant white, orange, and yellow layers in a loaf pan. The process involves blooming gelatin, gently heating mixtures, and chilling layers to achieve the classic tri-colored candy corn look that is fun, flavorful, and visually striking.

Ingredients

Scale

White Layer

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 envelopes Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Orange Layer

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 small box orange Jell-O (approx. 3 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Yellow Layer

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 small box lemon Jell-O (approx. 3 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Additional

  • Cooking spray (for greasing pans)
  • 2 loaf pans (for molding shots)

Instructions

  1. Prepare White Layer: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, whisking until smooth. Sprinkle 2 envelopes of Knox gelatin over the liquid to bloom for 1 minute. Heat the mixture over medium heat while stirring until gelatin completely dissolves and the mixture is smooth and grain-free, about 2 minutes. Do not allow it to boil. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka thoroughly.
  2. Set White Layer: Lightly grease two loaf pans with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour the white mixture evenly into each loaf pan (about 1 cup per pan). Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes until layer is slightly firm but still sticky to the touch, suitable for layering.
  3. Prepare Orange Layer: In a clean medium saucepan, combine 1 cup water, the orange Jell-O box contents, and 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until fully mixed. Sprinkle 1 envelope Knox gelatin over the mixture and let bloom for 1 minute. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until gelatin dissolves and mixture becomes smooth, roughly 2 minutes, avoiding boiling. Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka. Whisk well to maintain a consistent texture.
  4. Add Orange Layer: Carefully pour the orange gelatin mixture on top of the white layer in each loaf pan, dividing evenly (about 1 cup per pan). Refrigerate again for around 30 minutes until this layer is firm but still tacky for the final layer.
  5. Prepare Yellow Layer: In another medium saucepan, combine 1 cup water, lemon Jell-O, and 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk. Whisk to combine. Sprinkle 1 envelope Knox gelatin to bloom for 1 minute. Heat gently over medium heat with stirring until the gelatin fully dissolves, mixture is smooth and gelatin-free, about 2 minutes, without boiling. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka thoroughly.
  6. Add Yellow Layer and Chill: Pour the yellow gelatin mixture carefully atop the orange layer in each loaf pan, distributing evenly (about 1 cup per pan). Refrigerate the layered gelatin for at least 3 hours until fully set and firm to the touch.
  7. Unmold the Jello Shots: To release gelatin from pans, briefly dip the bottom of each loaf pan into very hot water for about 30 seconds. Run a butter knife gently around the edges to loosen the sides. Flip pan onto a cutting board or your hand to release the gelatin slabs.
  8. Slice into Candy Corn Pieces: Cut the gelatin slab into slices like bread, then diagonally cut each slice into triangles resembling candy corn shapes. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.

Notes

  • Blooming gelatin is important to avoid grainy texture and ensure smooth layers.
  • Do not boil gelatin mixtures as heat can ruin gelatin setting properties.
  • Ensure each layer is slightly firm but sticky before adding the next layer to prevent mixing colors.
  • Use cooking spray to aid in easy removal from loaf pans.
  • Adjust alcohol amount cautiously to maintain jello consistency; too much vodka can prevent proper setting.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated and consume within 2-3 days for best quality.
