Chicken Patties Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, egg, parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined, taking care not to overmix to keep the patties tender.
- Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick for even cooking.
- Heat Oil: Place a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until shimmering but not smoking to ensure proper frying.
- Cook Patties: Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until golden brown on the outside and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
- Drain and Serve: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard or a dash of hot sauce to the mix.
- These patties can also be baked at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through for a healthier preparation.
- To make them gluten-free, substitute regular breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs.
