Description

Indulge in these decadent Chocolate Fudge Cookies that are rich, chewy, and loaded with chocolate goodness. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth cravings!

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Mix-ins:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a thick dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
  5. Bake: Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges but still soft in the center.
  6. Cool and enjoy: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra gooey cookies, slightly underbake and let them set on the pan.
  • You can substitute the walnuts with pecans or omit them for a nut-free version.
