Ingredients
Scale
Vegetables
- 1 head broccoli
- 15 oz bag sugar snap peas
- 1 cup baby carrots
- 1 English cucumber
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 head cauliflower
Garnish
- 1 slice cheddar cheese (for star-shaped topper)
Serving
- Your favorite dip for serving (e.g., Healthy Yogurt Ranch or Easy Hummus)
Instructions
- Prep & cut the veggies: Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-size florets. Batonnets cut the English cucumber into approximately 2-inch long sticks to maintain a uniform shape for the tree, or simply slice if preferred. Slice the red bell pepper into strips. Use a knife to carefully cut a star shape from the slice of cheddar cheese for the tree topper, which is optional but adds a festive touch.
- Assemble the green part of the tree: Arrange all green vegetables starting from the bottom in a tree shape. Use broccoli at the top and bottom layers for stability, but feel free to layer the sugar snap peas and cucumber sticks as well. Repeat vegetables if necessary until a full tree shape is formed.
- Add accents and decorations: Place baby carrots at the base to create the tree trunk. Surround the base with cauliflower florets to simulate snow. Decorate the tree by placing the red bell pepper strips across the green layers like ornaments. Finally, position the cheddar cheese star on top of the tree for a festive finishing touch.
- Serve: Pair your Christmas Tree Veggie Tray with your favorite dips such as Healthy Yogurt Ranch or Easy Hummus for a delightful holiday appetizer.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables as decoration, such as cherry tomatoes or olives, to enhance the tree’s appearance.
- The cheese star is optional but adds a charming holiday detail.
- This tray can be prepared ahead of time and chilled until serving.
- Use sturdy vegetables like broccoli at the base to support the structure.
- Ideal for parties or as a healthy family snack during the holiday season.
