Ingredients
Scale
Crust and Topping
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Cheesecake Filling
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the bars after baking.
- Prepare the Crescent Roll Crust: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust layer. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
- Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add 1 cup granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and the egg, then beat until fully combined and silky. Spread this cheesecake mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust in the baking dish.
- Top with Second Dough Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully lay it over the cheesecake filling. If the dough doesn’t fit perfectly, press the seams together gently. Brush the melted butter over the top of this dough layer.
- Add the Cinnamon Sugar Topping: Mix the remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake layer is set and firm.
- Cool and Refrigerate: Remove the bars from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours to allow them to firm up before slicing into bars and serving chilled.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing and a smooth cheesecake texture.
- Refrigerating the bars before cutting helps them hold their shape better.
- You can line the baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easier removal.
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar topping.
