Description

A delicious Creamy Shrimp Pasta featuring tender shrimp sautéed with garlic and spices, tossed with fettuccine in a rich and smooth cream cheese and parmesan sauce, finished with fresh parsley and a hint of lemon juice. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner with a creamy, flavorful twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta

Shrimp Marinade

  • 1 lb raw deveined shrimp
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp pepper

Sauce

  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 1-2 cups chicken bouillon/stock (depending on desired sauce thickness)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Marinate Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the raw deveined shrimp with 1 tablespoon of garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon paprika, and ½ teaspoon pepper. Mix well to coat evenly.
  3. Fry Shrimp: Spray a large pan with non-stick spray and heat over medium flame. Fry the shrimp until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  4. Prepare Sauce: In the same pan, add the cream cheese, minced garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, ½ teaspoon paprika, and 1 cup chicken bouillon/stock. Gently heat and stir until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Add additional broth if a thinner consistency is desired. Stir in shredded parmesan cheese and lemon juice until fully incorporated.
  5. Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Return the cooked pasta and fried shrimp to the pan with the sauce. Stir thoroughly to coat everything evenly with the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the pasta. Serve immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • You can adjust the thickness of the sauce by varying the amount of chicken stock you add.
  • Use fresh parsley for garnish to add a burst of color and freshness.
  • For a spicier kick, increase paprika slightly or add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Ensure shrimp are deveined and peeled if preferred for ease of eating.
  • This recipe can be made with gluten-free pasta to accommodate dietary needs.
