Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
Jell-O Layers
- 1 (3 oz) box lemon Jell-O
- 1 (3 oz) box berry blue Jell-O
- 1 (3 oz) box grape Jell-O
- 3 cups boiling water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
- 3 cups cold water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
Cream Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups whipped topping
Decoration
- Whipped cream
- Pastel sprinkles
- Candy eggs
Instructions
- Prepare the Lemon Layer: Dissolve the lemon Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water until fully dissolved. Stir in 1 cup of cold water. In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with whipped topping until smooth. Fold this cream mixture gently into the lemon Jell-O mixture. Pour carefully into the graham cracker crust and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.
- Make the Blue Layer: Repeat the process with the berry blue Jell-O by dissolving it in 1 cup boiling water and mixing in 1 cup cold water. Fold in the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture as before. Gently pour this layer over the chilled lemon layer to avoid mixing the colors. Refrigerate again to allow it to set.
- Add the Grape Layer: Prepare the grape Jell-O in the same way using 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup cold water, folding in the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture. Carefully pour this mixture over the set blue layer. Return the pie to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
- Decorate and Serve: Before serving, top the pie with a generous layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle pastel sprinkles over the top and arrange candy eggs as desired for an Easter-themed presentation. Slice and enjoy this colorful and creamy dessert.
Notes
- Ensure each Jell-O layer is fully set before adding the next to prevent colors from mixing.
- Softening the cream cheese is essential to create a smooth filling without lumps.
- Use a gentle hand when pouring layers to maintain distinct layers.
- Prep the pie at least 5 hours in advance for best results.
- Can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
