Ingredients

Scale

Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Mummy Decoration:

  • 1 sheet refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup ketchup or marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Candy eyes or small pieces of mozzarella and olives for eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the meatballs: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape into 20 small meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs: Sear the meatballs in olive oil until browned. Place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Wrap in dough: Cut crescent dough into strips and wrap each meatball to resemble mummies.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
  6. Add eyes: Place candy eyes or mozzarella and olive pieces as eyes on the mummies.
  7. Serve: Serve warm with ketchup or marinara sauce.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken for a healthier option.
  • Puff pastry or pizza dough can be used instead of crescent dough.
  • For a spookier look, use black olive slices for eyes.
