Description

Tender and flavorful Grilled Chicken Souvlaki is a classic Greek dish made with marinated chicken skewers grilled to perfection. Serve with tzatziki sauce and pita for a delicious meal!

Marinade:

  • 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken, coat evenly, and marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  2. Prep Skewers: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers. Soak wooden skewers if using.
  3. Grill Chicken: Preheat grill, oil grates, and grill skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning until cooked through.
  4. Rest and Serve: Remove from grill, rest briefly, then garnish with parsley and lemon wedges before serving.

Notes
