Carrots:
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch thick rounds
Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Carrots: Place the sliced carrots in a medium saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 6–8 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Make Glaze: In the same saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in honey, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and cinnamon if using.
- Glaze Carrots: Add cooked carrots back into the pan. Cook for 4–5 minutes until glazed and glossy.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use baby carrots instead of slicing whole carrots.
- For a deeper flavor, add a splash of orange juice or a pinch of ground ginger.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by varying the amount of honey or sugar.
