Description

Moose Farts are a delightful no-bake Canadian dessert consisting of a delicious combination of graham cracker crumbs, sweetened shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, and chopped nuts all bound together with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. These bite-sized coconut balls are easy to make, perfect for a quick treat, and can be customized by varying the types of nuts or toasting the coconut for added flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, and chopped nuts until evenly combined.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract into the dry mixture. Stir thoroughly until the mixture sticks together and is well incorporated.
  3. Form Balls: Scoop out small portions of the mixture and use your hands to roll them into bite-sized balls.
  4. Chill: Place the formed balls on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
  5. Store: Keep the Moose Farts in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For a nut-free version, omit the nuts or substitute with seeds of your choice.
  • To enhance flavor, toast the shredded coconut lightly before mixing.
  • These treats can also be rolled in additional shredded coconut or cocoa powder for variation.
