These Quesadilla Burgers are a delicious fusion of a classic cheeseburger and a Mexican quesadilla. Juicy burger patties are sandwiched between layers of melted cheese, salsa, guacamole, and more, all encased in a crispy tortilla. A flavorful and satisfying twist on traditional burgers!

For the Burger Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
For Assembling:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup guacamole
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño pepper thinly sliced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 equal patties.
- Cook the Burger Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.
- Assemble the Quesadilla Burgers: Melt butter in a clean skillet. Place a tortilla down, sprinkle with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. Add a cooked burger patty, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, onions, cilantro, and jalapeño. Top with more cheese and another tortilla. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Serve: Cut each quesadilla burger into halves or quarters and serve warm.
Notes
- You can swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken.
- Add bacon, sautéed peppers, or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Use pepper jack cheese for a spicier kick.
