- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the milk and melted butter, then stir just until combined; do not overmix.
- Bake Biscuits: Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, making 10 to 12 biscuits. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Prepare Topping: Mix the 2 tablespoons of melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush the hot biscuits with the butter topping after removing them from the oven.
