Main Dish:

  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Onion Gravy:

  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (for gravy)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter


Instructions

  1. Main Dish: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties. Cook patties in olive oil until browned. Set aside.
