Description

Delight in these fun and colorful Starburst Jello Shots, combining the fruity flavor of pink Starburst candy with the kick of whipped cream vodka. Perfect for parties, these jello shots are easy to prepare and wonderfully festive with mini Starburst candies on top.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Mixture

  • 8 ounces Pink Starburst Jello
  • 1 1/2 cups hot boiling water
  • 1 cup whipped cream flavored vodka

Garnish

  • 1 package of Starburst minis – pinks

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Begin by adding 1 1/2 cups of water to a pan and bringing it to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Dissolve Jello: Slowly sprinkle the pink Starburst jello powder into the boiling water while stirring continuously until fully dissolved. Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly for a few minutes.
  3. Add Vodka: Stir in 1 cup of whipped cream flavored vodka into the slightly cooled jello mixture. Let the combined mixture rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes to cool further before pouring.
  4. Fill Cups: Using a ladle, pour the jello mixture evenly into small individual cups placed on a tray. This will make it easier to transfer to the fridge without spilling.
  5. Chill and Set: Place the tray with jello cups into the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 to 4 hours, or until the jello has fully set.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once the jello shots are firm, sprinkle the pink Starburst mini candies on top of each cup for a fun and flavorful garnish. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly!

Notes

  • Ensure the jello mixture is cooled sufficiently before adding vodka to prevent evaporation of the alcohol.
  • Use small disposable cups or shot glasses for easy serving and cleanup.
  • For a stronger alcoholic kick, adjust the vodka quantity carefully, keeping the jello’s setting ability in mind.
  • Refrigerate the jello shots for a minimum of 2 hours, longer if possible, to ensure they are fully set.
  • These jello shots are best consumed within 24-48 hours for optimal freshness.
