Ingredients
Scale
Gelatin Mixture
- 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O mix (1 box)
- 1 cup hot water
- ½ cup cold water
Pudding & Topping
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix (1 box)
- 8 ounces whipped topping (such as Cool Whip) (1 tub)
Fruits & Add-ins
- 24 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled, halved, and sliced
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
- 10 ounces mini marshmallows (1 bag)
Instructions
- Dissolve the Jell-O: In a large bowl, completely dissolve the strawberry Jell-O mix in 1 cup of hot water by stirring until no granules remain.
- Add Cold Water: Stir in ½ cup of cold water thoroughly, then refrigerate the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes until it thickens slightly but is not fully set.
- Mix in Pudding: Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix into the slightly thickened Jell-O mixture until smooth and uniformly combined. Return to the refrigerator for an additional 10 to 15 minutes to further chill.
- Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the chilled Jell-O and pudding mixture until fully incorporated, ensuring a light and fluffy texture.
- Add Fruits and Marshmallows: Carefully stir in the sliced fresh strawberries, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows evenly throughout the mixture.
- Refrigerate and Serve: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to set properly. Serve cold as a refreshing and sweet dessert salad.
Notes
- To prevent the whipped topping from deflating, fold gently to maintain fluffiness.
- For best texture, use fresh strawberries and drain the pineapple well.
- Chilling times are important for the salad to set correctly and develop the ideal consistency.
- This salad tastes best served chilled and consumed within 2 days for freshness.
- You can substitute instant vanilla pudding with sugar-free pudding mix for a lower sugar option.
