Description

A refreshing and flavorful seafood salad combining imitation crab, shrimp, and fresh vegetables tossed in a creamy, zesty dressing with dill and Old Bay seasoning. Perfect as a light lunch or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Seafood

  • 8 ounces imitation crab meat, flaked or sliced
  • 8 ounces raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Vegetables & Seasoning

  • ½ cup celery, finely diced
  • 3 tablespoons red onion, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1½ tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the shrimp: Boil or steam the peeled and deveined shrimp until fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain and allow to cool.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the flaked imitation crab meat, cooled shrimp, diced celery, minced red onion, Old Bay seasoning, fresh lemon juice, and mayonnaise.
  3. Season and garnish: Add salt and black pepper to taste. Gently fold in the chopped fresh dill. Garnish with additional dill and lemon wedges. Chill the salad before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best taste and texture.
  • Adjust Old Bay seasoning and lemon juice according to your preference.
  • This salad can be served on its own, in a sandwich, or over greens.
  • Keep refrigerated and consume within 2 days for optimal freshness.
